FREED’s BEAT (Building Equal Access Today) group is an advocacy group that promotes positive change in the community facing discrimination for people with disabilities, despite age, race, gender identification, and function level. We focus on making the community aware of disability rights that are important to us.
We promote advocacy by gathering monthly, collaborating with local, state, and federal representatives to inform and persuade accessibility issues, and to educate the community on different disability problems.
The BEAT Group generally meets on the first Friday of the month from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the conference room at our Grass Valley office, 435 Sutton Way, Grass Valley, CA 95945. Please contact us to double-check the time and location.
